“I loved the writing prompts. It allows me to reflect on being a mom if I want, but also everything else that I am. It’s like a process of remembering myself.”
– Laura (+ Ben, 4 months)
I’m the face behind MomAlong- a virtual writing circle for new moms that I started in 2021. Over two years, I have facilitated over seventy hours with dozens of moms and their babies.
The typical MomAlong has run for 7-8 weeks and is cohort based. I love a wee experiment, so have also run one-offs throughout 2023: monthly Write and Delight Nights, Birth Story Sessions, and a few other co-facilitated sessions.
MomAlong is in a re-dreaming phase (a developmental milestone, if you will!) this summer, and I can’t wait to invite you to our next workshop that reconnects you to yourself. Read the testimonials below for a taste of what MomAlumna love.

Through the prompts, I learned that motherhood is worth writing down: the good, the bad, and the ugly.
-Leanne (+Odie, 7 months +Dawson, 3)
Momalong truly felt like somewhere to ‘come as you are.’ I felt cared for by Libby as a thoughtful facilitator, and also by the other moms. I’ve learned to be more forgiving of myself and use writing to help process anxiety.
-Morgan (+Julia, 4 months)
Laid back, no ego, time for self, and heart opening. That’s MomAlong!
-Kayla (+Orlo, 3 years + Olive, 11 months)
Besides having a kid, momalong was the highlight of my mat leave. It allowed me to reconnect with the old version of myself and helped to understand this new version of myself.
Josie (+Emmy, 9 months)
When I talk to other parents it’s beautiful and important, but because of our writing group, we were able to talk about harder and deeper topics and process together. There was something authentic and natural about being in our own space.
-Brigette (+Fia, 10 weeks)
“Momalong encouraged me to just write, and let myself be creative. It was such a thoughtful, fun and encouraging space.”
-Danielle (+Owen, 4 months)
