About
Libby Jeffrey is a facilitator, writer and mom to a toddler. In 2020, Libby self published her first book, Babybytes: Becoming a Mom as the World Locked Down. Libby is proud to be always learning: a graduate of visionary online education platforms ALTMBA, and B-School, she also holds a creative writing certificate from the Writer’s Studio with Simon Fraser University, a Bachelor of Arts (U of Winnipeg), a certificate in Project Management (U of Regina). Fluently bilingual (French/English), Libby has travelled to over 35 countries and lived in Dublin Ireland, Ouidah Benin, Regina Saskatchewan, and quite enjoys home: Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Libby loves to learn about the human experience. She has been a census worker counting and interviewing citizens of Canada’s arctic- in the depths of winter. In Dublin, Ireland, she has waited tables in an Irish pub. Libby has been a UPS delivery walker for the Christmas rush: complete with a sled full of boxes. As a part of an HIV/AIDS awareness program, she has ridden around on motorcycles in West Africa delivering condoms to cornerstores. She has been a fireworks technician on First Nations reserves in the prairies. She coordinated community bread donations for a rad little bakery. Lately, she sometimes dresses ballerinas backstage at the concert hall.
As she putters along, Libby captures snippets of real life in poetry, because real life is poetry.
